West Yorkshire Support Group Meeting 11th of October

On Sunday the 11th of October Lynne held the autumn West Yorkshire vasculitis support group meeting.

We had a good turnout of about 20 people and had a great time chatting and catching up with everyone. Lynne had again brought along a spectacular selection of cakes for sale which went down very well in the tea break !

Sadly we’d been unable to secure a speaker for the meeting and so it was left to Richard to talk. He ran through some news items and spoke about opportunities for people with vasculitis to take part in research in local hospitals. He also discussed advances with biologic and biosimilar monoclonal antibody drugs which are being used more and more to treat vasculitis.

The slide show for this is now available on the Useful Documents section of the website, here. The associated handouts can also be found here.

Hopefully everyone who came along enjoyed the meeting and found it useful to chat to other people living with vasculitis. The next West Yorkshire meeting will be sometime in the spring.
